What this site is

This website describes my practice and how I work. Its content is general information, not therapy, and not medical, psychological, or legal advice. Reading it, writing to me, or speaking with me in a brief screening call does not create a therapist–client relationship. That relationship begins only through a mutual decision to work together, documented in signed informed-consent paperwork.

Separately from this practice, I run a public project – Stardentity (Stardentity LLC) – with its own website, publications, and digital products. That project is educational and general in nature – its content draws on aggregated professional experience, never on individual clients. Engaging with it, subscribing, or purchasing anything there is not therapy, is not a substitute for therapy, and does not create a therapist–client relationship. It operates under its own terms and privacy policy.

Not for emergencies

This site and its email are not monitored for emergencies, and email is not a way to reach me quickly. If you are in crisis or in immediate danger, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to the nearest emergency room.

No guarantees

Therapy is individual work, and its course and outcomes differ from person to person. Nothing on this site promises a particular result. This site's content is provided as-is; I am not liable for decisions made on the basis of general information published here.

The writing on this site is mine. You're welcome to quote brief passages with attribution; republishing pages or substantial portions requires my written permission.

No real clients appear on this site. The situations described are industry archetypes – drawn from patterns common enough to be almost cliché; the responses are mine.

Licensure and jurisdiction

I am licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #156152). Services are provided to clients located in California; for telehealth sessions, you must be physically present in California at the time of the session. This site is governed by the laws of the State of California.

I may update these terms from time to time; the current version is always on this page, with the date above.
