This website

This site exists to describe my practice. It does not require an account, does not show ads, and does not sell or share information about its visitors. It does not collect data from or market to anyone, including minors.

This site uses Plausible, a cookieless analytics tool that collects no personal data and cannot identify individual visitors. No advertising trackers are used.

My public project, Stardentity, operates separately, under its own privacy policy. No personal information moves between that project and this practice – not subscriber lists, not client information, nothing about you.

I understand that for many of my visitors, even the fact of looking for a therapist is private. This site is built accordingly.

If you write to me

Email sent to this practice arrives at a HIPAA-compliant address that only I can access. I read it myself, and I don't share it.

Writing to me – or speaking with me in a brief screening call – does not make you a client and does not create a therapist–client relationship; that begins only through a mutual decision to work together, documented in signed intake paperwork. Whatever you write or share, I treat it with the same discretion as clinical material.

If you've written to me and later want that correspondence deleted, just ask – I'll delete it. (If we've begun working together, clinical record-keeping laws apply, and some correspondence may need to be retained as part of your record.)

If you become a client

I practice as part of Hiroshi M. Sasaki, Ph.D., a small boutique practice. Clinical records and billing are maintained through the practice, and its Notice of Privacy Practices governs how protected health information is used and safeguarded – every client receives and signs it before we begin. Within the practice, access to client information is limited to what's necessary to provide and coordinate care.
